Your aunties always want to give (unsolicited) advice right?

"Date this kind of guy," "don't date this one," "don't date at all," it can get a little *insert shrug emoji*.

So now you can tell them we're saving them the trouble.

We crowd-sourced our aunties to get a little life advice, and to find out how many boyfriends they had before settling down - 'coz we also kaypoh lah.

Have a read, they might surprise you.

"I became a model at a young age and never had time to date until I was 30. By then I was thinking of retiring, unable to keep up with all the young competition. He was a photographer who thought that I was still the most beautiful. We got married and I still pose for his pictures today."

"It was long ago, I can't even remember. I think about 5 or 6? My first was during secondary school but it wasn't a proper boyfriend, we just liked each other. I had many flings here and there but now, I can't even remember most of their names. Not important anymore hahaha."

"I preferred to spend time with guys when I was young since I felt like I could be more carefree with them. But as much as I dated I've never felt that 'something special', maybe that's why I never settled down."

"Honestly, my old friends and I used to keep track of the guys that we dated and it was fun to compare who dated whom and how many guys we could get. I would say I had nine or 10? But now that I'm married with kids, I don't like to talk about those reckless times anymore."

"I went on a lot of dates when I was younger. Better to date a lot when you're younger so that you know what you like and what you don't want in a man. It's also harder to meet new people when you're older so I don't regret meeting so many guys."

"I only had one boyfriend, my husband. We met in the school that we were both teaching in. After dating for a period of time we decided to settle down and get married. I'm very happy to have met my husband and I don't regret not 'playing the field'.
