Some firms have no respect for prospective employees
I did not get the job but a few months later, my ad campaign was used in an ad without my permission.
I CERTAINLY do not condone the behaviour of candidates who fail to show up for interviews. From another perspective, employers should, instead, be thankful that these applicants do not show up. Imagine giving such people the job only to find out about their negative attitude later. Having said that, there are also employers who do not show respect to prospective employees. I had such an experience many years ago. I took a day off from work to attend the interview and arrived 15 minutes before the appointed time. However, I was made to wait more than one hour before I was finally called into the office, even though there were no other candidates in line. In another interview with an advertising firm, I presented an ad campaign, which was part of the interview requirement. I did not get the job but a few months later, my ad campaign was used in an ad without my permission. I am now a manager and when I interview job candidates, I make it a point to be on time, and I would write to them personally if they are not selected.
