SINGAPORE Telecommunications' group chief executive officer got a smaller pay packet in the financial year ending March 31, 2009, than in the year before.

Ms Chua Sock Koong, who became group chief executive officer on April 1, 2007, took home $3.38 million, comprising a fixed component of $1.35 million and a variable component of $1.95 million.

Benefits such as a car allowance, medical coverage and club memberships, as well as Central Provident Fund contributions, made up the remaining $80,000, as reported in the company's annual report, released on Thursday morning.
