Long wait for resale 3-room flat

I REFER to the letter, "Middle income earners put off by high property prices" (my paper, Nov 20).

As a middle-income earner, I have found it hard to afford a three-room resale Housing Board flat because most come with high cash-over-valuation.

Prices have been skyrocketing and I have been waiting four years to buy a resale unit.

HDB granted me a loan but it was not sufficient for me to purchase a flat.

I was advised to use my savings but much of it had gone towards renting a home for the last four years.

I recently applied for a larger loan with HDB.

While big earners can get the house of their dreams, middle-income earners such as me also need a roof over my head.
