'No short cut to success'

ITcan

MAKING a name in the highly demanding, rapidly evolving information technology industry is not easy. Yet, software solutions and services company ITcan has done it, and its president and chief executive officer, Mr Amit Sujan, is hungry for more.

Set up in 2004 with just a few loyal, enthusiastic employees, ITcan now provides a wide range of IT solutions and services, including infrastructure management, consulting and outsourcing, application development, customised solutions and professional services. Apart from its Singapore headquarters, there is now a subsidiary office in New Delhi. Both offices service clients all over Asia.

"ITcan has developed into a rapidly growing, highly competitive and responsive organisation with professional management, strong technical and financial resources, and a commitment to fully serve its clients in the global market," says Mr Sujan.

ITcan's client list now includes banks, Fortune 500 organisations, financial institutions, insurance companies and consulting firms.

It is a compact organisation, but Mr Sujan says size does not matter in this business. "This is a service industry and how you serve your clients makes the real difference," he says.

"We have ensured stability and growth in the organisation through hard work, focus, persistence, dedication and confidence."

He adds that ITcan's credibility and success can also be attributed to having focus, a strong leadership and the ability to innovate continually. "As an entrepreneur, there is no short cut to success," he notes.

"You have to put in hard work and be positive. Be prepared to take calculated risks, and with dedication, persistence and determination, the results will fall into place."

Mr Sujan sees an e50.startup award as recognition for the efforts of his team. "It is a firm testimony to every employee who has contributed to the success of the company, and will also serve as a great morale booster."

From a business standpoint, he says that "getting an e50.startup award will enhance our business image and will help in our future strategic partnership and relationships with our clients and employees. It has inspired me to propel the growth and development of the business. This award is indeed a celebration of the spirit of enterprise in Singapore".
