On sale: New guide for job seekers

THE CATS Recruit Career Guide 2009, a reference handbook for job seekers, is now available at major bookstores and news-stands for $6.80.

The guide, a collaboration between the Ministry of Education and Singapore Press Holdings, carries extensive information, such as salary benchmarks, job profiles and testimonials, and advice from experts.

It also gives job seekers an idea of what to expect from the various industries.

The guide includes advice from experts in various industries and allow job seekers to get a clear idea of what they are getting into. Job openings include positions in sectors such as banking and finance, health care and life sciences, and information technology.

Human-resource consultants also share their perspectives on topics such as preparing for job interviews and being a good employee.
