Average age of Starhub workers is above 35

WE REFER to the feedback from Ms Jeniffer De Souza in her letter, "Age requirement not stated in job ad" (my paper, Dec 11).

Ms De Souza wrote that she was told that an age limit of 35 years and below was a criterion for a StarHub sales position.

To clarify, StarHub does not practise age discrimination in our hiring process. The average age of our employees is above 35 years old.

We would like to invite Ms De Souza to contact Penny from our human-resource team on 6825-5010 to provide more information on the matter so that we could look into her feedback.

We thank her for her interest in being part of the StarHub team, and look forward to hearing from her soon.
