STI higher at midday

SINGAPORE shares were higher at 2,703.08 points at midday on Tuesday.

The benchmark Straits Times Index (STI) was up by 9.46 points, or 0.35 per cent.

About 691 million shares were traded.

Losers beat gainers 246 to 106.
