Google employees famously get free gourmet meals. They also work in one-of-a-kind offices, going by the look of the Internet giant's newest offices to open in Kirkland, Washington, in the United States.
At the company's grand opening of the Kirkland offices last month, Google engineering director Chee Chew posed for photographers from the face of a rock-climbing wall in one of the three buildings on the so-called campus.
Brightly coloured plastic letters on the wall spell out the company's name, reinforcing its fun corporate image.
Another Google signage is made of Lego bricks.
The work-and-play theme continues in a room where a group of software engineers work in a sun-drenched room with a lush view of the verdant outdoors and a foosball table.
More than 350 of Google's 20,000 employees worldwide work in the downtown Kirkland facility, which also includes a wellness centre and gym, soda fountain, fireplace, a mini-kitchen stocked full of food, cafeteria, dance room, massage room and a doctor's office.
The employees used to work in a few locations in Kirkland, about 45 minutes from Seattle.
