Expect 2.6% payrise

THERE is more evidence that Singapore workers can look forward to modes pay increases next year as the job situation here continues to improve.

A survey report released on Friday by global human resources firm Hewitt Associates showed that employers here are set to raise pay by 2.6 per cent next year.

Also, most companies polled do not expect to freeze salary in 2010, with the incidence of this down from a high of 60.3 per cent in 2009 to 12.8 per cent for 2010.
