Siemens in $544m deal on Vietnam power plant

HANOI - German industrial giant Siemens has won a US$375 million ($544 million) contract to supply key equipment to a thermal power plant in southern Vietnam, state-run newspapers reported on Thursday.

Under a contract signed with Vietnamese firm Lilama on Wednesday, Siemens would supply equipment to the 750-megawatt Nhon Trach 2 plant in Ca Mau province, the Lao Dong (Labour) newspaper said.
