KUALA LUMPUR, May 20 (Reuters) - Malaysia's annual inflation slowed to 3.0 percent in April from 3.5 percent in March, the Department of Statistics said on Wednesday.

Consumer price inflation rose more slowly than the 3.3 percent forecast in a Reuters poll.

On a seasonally unadjusted basis, prices were 0.2 percent lower in April compared with March.

The government does not release seasonally adjusted data to show the change in between months.
