AMID the doom and gloom of the economic recession, the Ministry of Home Affairs (MHA) is looking for more people to join the Home Team as uniformed officers.

The ministry will be holding a major recruitment fair this weekend to help fill over 1,000 vacancies within six Home Team departments.

The bulk of vacancies belong to the police force, with 470 available positions for police officers.
