From July, more than 6,000 small and medium enterprises (SMEs) who sign up for new accounts can get a 35 per cent discount on FedEx international priority services.
The Association of Small and Medium Enterprises (ASME) and FedEx Express has teamed up to offer the initiative that will help the association's members ride out the recession with substantial savings on air express charges.
'Many small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) in Singapore are highly competent and have the potential to grow and develop, but they are also most likely to be affected by the current economic recession,' said Clifton Chua, managing director of FedEx Express Singapore.
'The alliance provides an excellent opportunity for SMEs with potential to grow through overseas market expansion.'
FedEx Express is a subsidiary of FedEx Corp.
The FedEx global network provides delivery services to 24 major cities in Asia, and links to more than 220 countries and territories.
