The cream of the crop are At-Sunrice GlobalChef Academy, the Centre for Urban Greenery and Ecology, and the Tourism Management Institute of Singapore.

The three were the first to be awarded the National Continuing Education and Training (CET) Institute status. They offer various upgrading programmes, such as the Workforce Skills Qualifications course.

Assessed yearly by the Workforce Development Agency, the centres provide a range of services for workers across different industries - from career counselling to training and job placement.

Since 2006, about 200,000 workers have undergone training at the 46 CET centres islandwide.
