Singapore's latest suburban mall will see 17 employers offering more than 400 neighbourhood jobs, all part of the preparations for the opening of Tampines 1 in the North East district.

A job fair specially organised for this recruitment will be held this Saturday, 7 March 2009 from 10.00am to 4.00pm.

Jointly organised by North East CDC and AsiaMalls (S.E.A.) Management Pte Ltd, this job fair is part of the North East CDC's Job Radar programme which helps match unemployed residents with jobs available in the North East district.

The fair, Mall Jobs@ Tampines 1, will see jobs offered by different tenants ranging from Supervisors and Sales Consultants for Fitness, Retail and F & B outlets to Cashiers and Sales Assistants for a supermarket.

Some of the 17 employers involved in the fair include Amore Fitness Pte Ltd, Wing Tai Retail Management Pte Ltd, VGO Corporation Ltd, Cold Storage (S) Pte Ltd, Thai Express Concepts Pte Ltd and Bachmann Japanese Restaurant Pte Ltd.

Scheduled to open its doors in April 2009, Tampines 1 is located next to the bus interchange and MRT station. The mall is set to make Tampines the downtown epicentre of the East while offering shoppers a one-stop retail experience
