>GEORGE TOWN, Malaysia: Several thousand job vacancies will be created in phases over the next two years following the inflow of more than RM10 billion ($4.17 billion) in investments into the state last year.

InvestPenang executive committee chairman and director Datuk Lee Kah Choon said Honeywell International, through its business group Honeywell Aerospace, which invested more than RM100 million here last year, was hiring staff.

He said even InvestPenang had outsourced some 2,000 jobs. -NST
