More applicants than jobs available
Thu, Dec 04, 2008
AsiaOne

WE REFER to Mr Teo Kok Yeow's letter, 'Is he not qualified for FairPrice job?', published in my paper on Monday.

It is not our practice to discuss hiring decisions in public. In general, we hire candidates based on a match in their skills and experience with the needs of the job.

We often have more applicants than the number of jobs available.

Therefore, it is not uncommon for some candidates to encounter unsuccessful applications, even though they may have relevant skills and experience.

We are sorry we were unable to offer Mr Teo employment, and we thank him for his interest in NTUC FairPrice.

Ms Rebecca Teo
Director
(Human Resource)
