DBS on Thursday started handing out letters to staff who will be retrenched.

Sources told The Straits Times that Singapore's largest bank has started notifying the staff whose services are no longer needed.

Some DBS workers were said to be in tears on being told at work. But it is not known if the staff have been told to leave immediately.
