Solve mums' leave issues creatively
Fri, Sep 05, 2008
my paper

I WRITE with regard to the new benefits extended to parents.

When my daughter was born, I took a month off. My boss was very understanding, and he gave me his blessings.

I had the opportunity of bonding with my daughter, and I have never felt prouder about being a father.

Employers need to be more creative in solving the problems arising from female employees going on four months' maternity leave from now.
