NANYANG Technological University's Nanyang Business School (NBS) has the best MBA programme in Singapore and one of the top 10 in Asia, says the Economist Intelligence Unit (EIU).
In EIU's latest annual ranking of full-time MBA programmes, NBS takes 72nd position, up from 77th last year.
"The improvement in the latest ranking by EIU reflects the improvements we have made in the quality of our programme offerings," said NBS dean Jitendra V Singh.
"In the coming years, we will strive to improve our global standing."
The University of Chicago's Graduate School of Business is ranked top in the study.
Stanford Graduate School of Business in the US and Spain's IESE Business School of the University of Navarra are placed second and third respectively.
Only 11 Asian schools offering MBA programmes made the top 100, with Hong Kong putting up the best showing.
Ranked 20th worldwide, Hong Kong University of Science and Technology's School of Business and Management emerged the best in Asia.
It was followed by University of Hong Kong's School of Business, which came in 37th worldwide and second best in Asia.
In Singapore, NUS Business School also made the top 100, coming in at 94th position.
EIU's 2007 ranking of full-time MBA programmes takes into account four main factors: career opportunities, personal development/educational experience, salary increase and potential to network.
The data was gathered through an online questionnaire to business schools and another to some 20,000 students and recent graduates.
