I REFER to the report, 'Laws keep bank clients' data sacred' (my paper, March 4).
Lawyer Amolat Singh's comment that banks have a duty to keep their clients' details strictly confidential should not be taken lightly.
Bank staff should be reminded of the important role they play in maintaining and preserving the integrity and security of a bank.
Where banking data is concerned, people's rights to privacy and confidentiality should be respected.
