WE REFER to the letter, 'Two ways to counter unfair prices', by Mr Edmund S. Foo (my paper, Dec 4).
We understand Mr Foo's concerns amid the rising prices of commodities.
In order to keep consumers informed of changing prices, Case took the initiative to conduct price surveys on grocery items and cooked food at various periods of time in the past.
Mr Foo is right that the prices of products and services are subject to demand and supply, and if a vendor prices his items out of the range which the market can bear, consumers have the right to avoid them and very soon, such vendors will bring their prices down.
Case will continue to monitor the prices in the market place and will continue with our market surveys to keep consumers informed of changes whenever possible.
