I REFER to the letter, 'Window-cleaning chore could turn deadly' (my paper, Sept 3).
There are flat owners who are particular about cleanliness and cannot stand to see any dirt on their windows.
However, this is not a good reason for them to risk the lives of their domestic workers just to get their windows cleaned.
Could town councils arrange for maintenance contractors to clean the outside of all flat windows, say, twice a year?
It would be better to get professional window cleaners to do the job, armed with safety equipment.
The fees for this could be included in the service and conservancy charges.
