Making room for bonding

Mr Edward Malcolm, 39

  • Event manager of Generation X, an events management company.
  • Lives in a 118 sq m five-room flat in Telok Blangah Crescent.
  • Shares unit with wife Samantha Wong, 38, general manager of an animation company, and their three daughters aged seven to two.

I love my home because...

It is cosy and convenient. It is on the top floor (25th) too.

My decor theme is...

Oriental fusion theme and very woody. We love wood.

My favourite corner is....

The extended space of our master bedroom area, which we call our family corner.

We sealed up the original entrance to the master bedroom and broke down a wall that originally partitioned the master bedroom and the common area.

It is where we conduct a lot of our family activities such as watching movies and playing cards or board games together. There is also a full floor to ceiling glass window here which overlooks Mount Faber and the Henderson Wave. We even get a beautiful sea view.

I'm most proud of...

The practical space planning and the look and feel of the home that we have created.

Will I sell it?

Why? Not for now. It is centrally located, a stone's throw to town and yet in the midst of all the greenery.
