The Urban Redevelopment Authority (URA) launched a hotel site at Kallang Road / Jellicoe Road for sale by public tender today.
URA announced on Aug 1 that it had received an application from a developer to put up the land for tender. The developer has committed to bid at least $51 milllion for the site in the public tender.
The site is at the fringe of the city and above the Lavender MRT Station. It is within easy reach of Changi Airport, Orchard Road and the Central Business District at Raffles Place. Marina Bay and Kallang Riverside, the new waterfront lifestyle precinct in the works, will also be a short drive away.
The site will have a tender period of eight weeks. The tender will close at 12 noon on Oct 9.
Developer's packets can be bought from the Customer Service Counter on the 1st storey of The URA Centre, 45 Maxwell Road, Singapore 069118. They can also be purchased via URA-Online for local and overseas purchasers.
