THE showflat for the latest Housing Board condo-style flats in Boon Keng Road only opens on Saturday, but more than 30 people started queueing outside it on Friday, trying to get a sneak peek at the HDB's latest offering.
Ms Kellie Liew, Executive director of HSR Property Group Kellie, said the eager beavers started turning up at about 4 pm to get a preview of the City View @ Boon Keng showflat.
'These people knew that applications are done online, but they were very anxious to have a look at the flats,' said Ms Liew.
HSR, which is marketing the project, turned away the crowd as the showflat only opens at 9am on Saturday.
Ms Liew said those interested can start queueing outside the showflat from 8am.
The 714-unit project at the junction of Boon Keng and Bendemeer Road is the second batch of public housing offered by private developers.
Comprising 72 three-room flats, 168 four-room units and 474 five-room units in three 40-storey blocks, the project will be built by Hoi Hup Sunway Development.
The units, which boast features such as wall-to-wall balconies in living rooms and master bedrooms and large bay windows that look out onto the Kallang River, are going for $520 psf, ranging from $349,000 to $727,000.
Online applications open from Saturday at 9 am to Jan 16 at www.hoihup.com.
